We started stonecarving weekends about 15 years ago and they were very successful. Total beginners had a fun weekend, eating very well, and always took a creation home. Some came back several times! One chap famously, travelled home on the train (we have a station in the village) with the stone head he had carved under his arm, it was wonderful!

More recently, due to the wider availability of courses elsewhere, we have been offering one off days tied in with local arts events, eg Hereford Art Week. We ran an evening class for local people in the summer term and will happily organise bespoke courses for people wanting more advanced or specialist training in carving or letter cutting.
